WinMo Twitter Apps!
It seems like there really hasn’t been much love for Windows Mobile, as far as Twitter goes. Whilst there seems to be a bevy of iPhone apps, that actually do it stylishly as well. Brandons posted about different ways to follow us on Twitter before, and mentioned a windows mobile application called Tiny Twitter, which I’ve been using in conjunction with another application called CeTwit. Until now I’ve had to cycle between the two apps to get all of the Twitter functionality, everything that you can get from Twitter on a desktop/laptop.
Considering that they are both free applications, they are, shall we say sufficient, but they haven’t covered all of the bases as far as I’m concerned. So I’ve been hearing whispers, that turned to murmurs, that became hubbub, and eventually turned into a roar, about another application, that does Twitter for WinMo, that’s got it right. And looks good doing it…
PockeTwit is a complete package as far as I’m concerned, it has a customisable UI, skin wise and a unique animated menu system, that is Dpad friendly, and some great GPS additions that make your social networking, a little bit more informative. Letting you track your network, and update at will, with your GPS location, TwitPic, from an image file or upload your own google map position.
I only installed it this afternoon, and I’m already in love with it. The UI is awesome and forward thinking, slickand intuitive, I felt comfortable with PockeTwit in a matter of minutes, after installing it. Rather than try to write this one out I thought a visual display would be a better review of this application, so I did a little screen capture vid demo, so you can see how it works.
PockeTwit is a lovely app that really needs a look if you are an avid twitter user, and are WinMo bound.
