Station Break – A New Hallelujah!
Michael W. Smith – A New Hallelujah!
Have you ever heard a song that just makes the hairs on your head rise on end? Well, for me, A New Hallelujah! is one of those songs. It not only makes you feel good but the lyrics are upbeat and edifying to your spirit. This is one of those songs that I sometimes listen to looped and it gets me awake. Music is fuel for the the spirit, and certainly I want as much of it as I can get. They say that in the presence of God is always music – for those who believe it is our desire to one day be with God and of course, that would mean being in the presence of the best music for eternity.
Music connects our souls to the spiritual realm. Whether it be from edifying and uplifting music, or other more…different…types which bring one to a state of mental anguish, the power of music is evident without me having to mention much about it.
Now, what can be done to make music that is out there your own? To internalize it yet to add your own personal touch to it as a painter with a brush adding that special yet deliberate stroke to a tapestry of song? I find it to be quite a pleasure to sing with the music, adding to the tune. To me music is such a blessing, when you can hear so many different variations proceeding simultaneously and then rejoining for parts…yet, the many other parts you hear are not in the physical realm of hearing. I believe this is pure pleasure, where only you and your Maker can have a place of harmony where you are part of the audience as well as the choir.

Nice one TJ,
I really enjoy the heart this guy gives to his music! and we play quite a few of his songs at my church!
