Mr Obama, Your Blackberry erhmm!
There have been a plethora of posts and wide speculation as to whether the newly inaugurated President, would be able to keep his beloved BlackBerry. In fact the idea that he even embraced modern technology endeared him to me before I even thought about what it meant for Obama to win office. Hey, any geek is a good geek right?
There has been a lot of, “Well these are national security certified” device posts flying around, showing some, well I should say two possible devices the double oath taking President, might have available to use for all of that sensitive Data. Even though they are both WinMo devices, well the term comes to mind, “futt bugly”. There have to be some perks to being the President of the United States though, and it looks like there are.
CNet News are reporting that the Pres may be getting an extra special BB upgrade, so the picture below will probably still be the norm,
Apparently it’s been outfitted with encrypted software secure enough for routine personal messages–meaning, if this report is true, there will be no Microsoft Windows Mobile in the president’s immediate future.
We’re still waiting, by the way, to hear back from the National Security Agency. They said they’d be happy to entertain questions from us, and it’s been over a week. We’re not holding our breath.
So it looks like this scene may be repeated more often, should we spring for a decent case for the guy? Who would have thought being President, would be enough to get you the latest gadget, go figure

The image you've got is for General Dymanic's Sectera edge (http://www.gdc4s.com/content/detail.cfm?item=3264… There's a short video and some more specs, and with 140F (60C) heat resistance, you could use it near your ovens, Peter.
Note how thick the gizmo is in the soldier's hand. It makes my X7501 positively thin!
