iShoot – Or It Is About Time
Last week, Brandon posted a bit of a rant over on Just Another iPhone Blog, in which he noted the ludicracy of an app called iFart Mobile remaining at the top of the iPhone app store Top 25. Those of you who have been around for a while are probably familiar with Brandon’s sometimes over the top rants. And this was one of the few times I have ever had to ask why he held back.
In truth, Brandon probably did not hold back, but there just are not enough words to describe just how ludicrous this situation is. To start, not one, but several developers have now developed applications which do nothing but replicate farting noises through the speaker on your iPhone. Not only that, but users are spending money – lots of it – on these apps, and then taking the time to come back and leave positive reviews. The whole thing, in my opinion, is an affront to legitimate iPhone game and app developers.
Well, after several weeks of sitting pretty in the top spot of the App Store Top 25 list, iFart Mobile has finally been bumped down to number 2. And I, for one, could not be happier. In fact, true to a promise I made myself last week, I immediately purchased the game which knocked it off its perch: iShoot.
Now, iShoot may not add worlds of productivity to your iPhone, but it is a fantastic game. Watch for a full review coming soon. in the meantime: The King Is Dead…Long Live The King…
