Palm Adds a New CFO

Palm announced that Douglas C. Jeffries will be replacing current CFO Andy Brown in January of 2009. Andy Brown will be staying on until the end of January to help with the transition. Doug (yes, we are on a first name basis.) was the chief accounting officer for eBay before accepting this position with Palm. So, what does all of this mean? Well, last time I checked, eBay was pretty successful. Hopefully, some of that new success will rub off on Palm for the future. First the scheduled big announcement at CES, and now a new executive; maybe Palm is serious about being a force in the mobile world. I am keeping my fingers crossed.
