eWallet Is Now Available for Blackberry

Ilium Software has just announced that their incredibly popular eWallet (which is a fan favorite on both Windows Mobile and iPhone here at JAMM) is now available for Blackberry devices.   eWallet helps you manage and keep secure all of the things you would normally carry in your wallet – credit cards, bank account information, calling cards, health information and password details. The concept sounds pretty cool – keep everything you need to function in one place that is secure and easy to access, especially the list of 20 odd passwords most of us have for the various accounts we access online.   eWallet for Blackberry will set you back $29.95, but there is a thirty day free trial. Check it out at: http://www.iliumsoft.com/site/ew/ew_bbmain.php.  We have reviewed this one before for both Windows Mobile and iPhone, but watch for my thoughts on the Blackberry version coming soon.

ANN ARBOR, Mich.–December 10, 2008 – Ilium Software and Web Information Solutions, Inc. are pleased to announce eWallet® for BlackBerry, the latest release from the recent partnership between the two companies that began with eWallet 6.0 in December 2007.

Based on the popular FlexWallet for BlackBerry from WebIS, eWallet for BlackBerry is the first title from Ilium Software available for BlackBerry devices. eWallet for BlackBerry combines the best features of FlexWallet with additional improvements taken from Ilium Software’s own eWallet 6.1 for other platforms. eWallet users can now enjoy the safety and security they know and trust, along with the features and customization they want, on BlackBerry devices as well. Users will also be able to synchronize their data between their BlackBerry and the Windows PC version of eWallet with this latest release, making their important information readily available, wherever they are.

Ilium Software and WebIS are working to make the eWallet for BlackBerry transition simple for all FlexWallet owners. All eligible FlexWallet for BlackBerry licenses have been converted to eWallet licenses, so that eWallet’s upgrade policies and discounts will apply to current registered users of both FlexWallet and eWallet.

"We’re very glad that our partnership with WebIS has allowed us to include eWallet on the BlackBerry platform," said Marc Tassin, Senior Product Manager at Ilium Software. "We know many of our users have been looking forward to eWallet on their BlackBerry devices, and we’re happy to add a new platform for users to keep their information safe and available wherever they are."

"eWallet from Ilium Software has always been the de-facto wallet software on Windows Mobile and Palm and we are excited to bring eWallet to the BlackBerry for Ilium," said Alex Kac, CEO of WebIS. "As the BlackBerry grows in popularity it’s fitting that the best wallet software is now available for it as well and I know we have many users who are thrilled to see it finally arrive."

eWallet for BlackBerry will continue to be developed by WebIS. Ilium Software will provide full technical and purchase support to all users. Complete information, including upgrade details for current owners, can be found on Ilium Software’s website: http://www.iliumsoft.com/ewalletbb
