REVIEW: Proporta Gadget Bag for Eee PCs

I’ve always thought of Proporta making cases to cover things and not bags. Clearly, when Proporta goes to the length of covering a device, they go all the way - whether it be a skin, case, or bag. Today we’ll be looking at Proporta’s Gadget Bag for Eee PCs. I was wondering what the difference between a case and a bag was and finally I got my answer. A case is just that, a covering which offers protection. A bag adds to that as it brings additional carrying capacity to the table with extra room for things like AC adaptors, batteries, and more.

Proporta’s Gadget Bag has a handsome modular design with well situated pockets and pouches which can be detached - 1 inside and 2 external. All 4 bags (3 detachable and the main bag) are provided with rubberized openings for wires to go through. I keep my AC adaptor, battery, SDHC card reader, SD cards, and more. The main compartment has 2-way zippers.

Opening up the main compartment there is a little pouch (the internal bag) which has velcro on it so it can be attached either this way or even if it were rotated. It’s perfect for more goodies such as my Sony Walkman. As you can see, the big black thing below is my Eee PC in the Proporta Alu Leather case.

Yep! As bags go this is perfect for carrying your netbook with all of its accessories in an organized fashion.

So what can I say? This bag is well made and it’s comfy too. The strap is acceptable without any additional cushion as the netbook along with all my other gadgets are not that heavy. However, the strap will probably not survive a bag snatch attempt or violence (I’m not about to put it through a endurance test). The placement of the strap allows you to have access to various gadgets on the go. Nice job, Proporta! I’m happy with this bag and I highly recommend it.
