Every year for the past several years I've done virtually all the holiday cooking for my semi-invalid inlaws. We literally do an "Over the river (well, assorted creeks) and through the woods / To (my wife's) Grandmother's house we go" for Thanksgiving. It works pretty well roasting the turkey, transferring it an extra roaster and packing the crew into the car and zipping across town to haul up the now "rested" turkey, stuffing, gravy, candied sweet potatos and all up 27 steps to the front door of my inlaws' home.
