Celio Redfly, Hmmm, Breeding!
You know, I’ve never really known what to think about the Celio Redfly, and I was offered one once but I’d already gotten the Eee and really didn’t see the need for another little notebook, and especially one that wasn’t a stand alone device. When I gather my thoughts though, and actually consider the idea, that a Redfly and a WinMo device could actually replace your laptop/netbook, and give you a truly mobile device solution, for a budget wise price.
Redfly, I mean Celio, have announced two new models of the Redfly, that may allow you to realise your dreams of true digital mobility, without a wallet deflating pin prick.
Light and portable, the Redfly allows you to make a Windows Mobile device your primary computer. Now Celio describe the Redfly as a terminal, a device powered by windows mobile, but the 8 inch model allows some new compatibility.
The major change in the second model announced today, the Redfly C8N, is a new multimedia port that allows an iPod, iPhone , Zune, or digital camera to use the Smartphone Terminal’s 8-inch screen to display video or images. Aside from this, it is essentially unchanged from the original model, which it will replace.
Have a look and see if this is your portable solution, with no more PC input?
