Gmail to add send SMS chats in (hopefully) two weeks!

I’ve actually migrated from MSN to Gtalk and I tell ya, life is a lot better with the Gtalk for me. It just looks simpler and feels less cluttered – I also think file transfers are about 2x faster than silly crappy MSN. However, Gtalk is a lot younger than MSN Messenger and it’s still missing a lot of the common features of other messengers (no video chat!). However, Google Labs is obviously working on this, as they’re talking about a send-to-mobile feature that should aire in about two weeks. This will let you send chat messages as text messages directly to a contact’s phone. I’m looking forward to this one!
