Review: OtterBox Defender for iPhone 3G
Posted by: Brandon Steili on Oct 29 2008 - 71 viewsFanboy is not a term I use lightly. I don’t consider myself a fanboy of Apple - maybe of the iPhone, and I usually don’t consider myself to be a fanboy of any particular brand of accessory. But, in this case I’m going to come right out and just tell you - I am a fanboy when it comes to OtterBox. This is now the second Defender series case I’ve owned (had one for the original iPhone) and like a fine wine this new version has only gotten better with age. The design changes are quite significant in the latest version and while it hasn’t been all roses (see the part where I hurt myself) - overall I’m still very impressed.
Like the first iPhone version - the package content for the OtterBox is fairly thin. There isn’t a whole lot of documentation and there really doesn’t need to be since really this is a case and its fairly self explanatory on how you use it. Other than that you’re going to get an OtterBox sticker (love this) and the Defender itself.

What can an iPhone really do for you?
Posted by: Peter Murphy on Oct 29 2008 - 33 viewsOur friend Jack over at Experience Mobility is a staunch WinMo user, and wouldn’t even consider an iPhone, until now. What , I ask may have swayed his views. Okay, obviously it’s a bit of a joke, but a remote control app for your personalised robot is just around the corner at the app store!
The app is called the inebriator, who would have guessed? if the video above doesn’t appear, use this link,
I’m still not convinced, but who am I to judge!

Clinton Fitch Goes Online With Spb Online
Posted by: dgoldring on Oct 28 2008 - 6 views
Not long ago, our very own Tjchan took a hard look at Spb Online, and found a lot to like there. But what do others think of this fine program? Well, our good friend, Clinton Fitch, has just posted his review of the program over at Clinton Fitch(dot)com.
If you are not familiar with it, Spb Online is an online experience; allowing you to watch TV, listen to music, read the news, purchase software, play games, and more…all from the comfort of your Windows Mobile device.
Clinton took a thorough look at Spb’s latest offering and found:
If you look at Spb Online as a whole you can see that it is a fantastic concept that is well executed by the Spb team. There are some rough edges for sure, especially around the News function but it is workable. The ability to buy securely online from the application itself is fantastic and makes the buying experience quick, simple and fun. The automatic updating of the application over the air is another nice feature and one that frankly every developer should figure out how to do. Spb Online is a definate winner and I can’t wait to see how this application continues to grow.
Check out the full review, with tons of screen shots, at Clinton Fitch(dot)com. And head over to the JAMM Store where you can download your very own copy of Spb Online, directly to your device.

ZAGG: Invisible Shield Sale!!!
Posted by: Heather on Oct 28 2008 - 42 views![]()
Sales, Sales, Sales!!! I am just all about the sales today. Honestly, who doesn’t love a good sale? When it comes to protecting your device from scratches, Invisible Shield is a great product to use. The ‘plastic’ full body, or screen only, protection is made from the same material the military uses to protect their helicopters from high speed damage. So, I think its got the strength to keep your gear safe.
Now, for the good stuff:
20% off Invisible Shield for New MacBooks
20% off Invisible Shield for T-Mobile G1
Both of these sales end on October 31. Plus, they are also having a huge inventory blow-out sale on shields for older devices, up to 80% off. Think iPod Gen 2 & 3. Keeping an older device in good condition helps it last longer, and saves you money on a replacement. Happy Shopping!!!

Speck’s Spooky Sale
Posted by: Heather on Oct 28 2008 - 16 views
Speckis having a one week only sale on their orange, red, and black cases to celebrate Halloween. 50% off is a great deal for their merchandise. I have one of the Toughskin cases for my Zune4. I honestly feel like I could throw my device against the wall, and it would be completely fine. Speck’s product line is heavy on the Mac side. So, if you need an iPhone, iPod, or laptop case, I would check it out. I know from sales in the past that products can sell-out quickly. The sale ends at midnight on October 31.
