Bad news for you Sprint fans out there who have been waiting to upgrade to the HTC Touch Pro.  It looks like you will have to wait a few extra weeks longer than expected for the much heralded replacement for the HTC Mogul.  Instead of releasing the phone this weekend, as had been initially indicated, they have now announced that the Touch Pro will not be released until late October or early November.  It’s only a few weeks, so be patient.  it sounds like the delay is not performance related, but, “to ensure we have adequate inventory in all channels before making the device commercially available.”

Whenever it is released, the Touch Pro is expected to fetch a whopping $299 with a two year contract.  To be honest, I was hoping that the Touch Diamond and Touch Pro would come in at a lower price point, something closer to the $199 Apple iPod 3G I keep hearing about over at rival AT&T.
