Sprint: But This One Goes To Eleven…In Olive Green And Rose Red!

Does anyone else remember that scene in Spinal Tap where they are showing off their amplifiers and they say, this one is better than all the others because it goes to 11. No other features set it apart. This one just has a dial that goes to 11, while the others go to 10. Is 11 louder than 10? Probably not. The documentarian filming the episode presses the issue until he is frustrated by the repeated response, “This one goes to 11.”
That is how I feel when I see report after report of the same old phones being released with nothing more than cosmetic changes. As if anyone is looking at the new green and red Centros and suddenly realizing how much better their phones would work if they were painted differently.
That being said, Sprint announced today that the Palm Centro will be released in Olive Green and Rode Red. Both are expected to be available later this month for $79.99 (with a two year contract.)
…and this one goes to 11.
