An iPhone Beta Tester Community and an Application Store Beta Registration Open
iPhone Developers and Beta Testers Soon to Get Connected in an On-line Community
to Benefit Both Groups and Encourage More Useful and Better Written Applications for iPhonesCOLUMBUS, Ohio — Peconi Group, LLC today announced they are opening a beta registration for their new web application, iBetaTest.com, aimed at closing the gap between iPhone application developers and testers by providing an on-line community with tools for both groups. With over 1,000 programs and games in the Apple’s own application store and a long process it takes developers to get pre-approved and for their applications to get approved for release once complete, iBetaTest strives to create a unique opportunity for developers to get connected with quality beta testers where both can share information with a goal of creating better applications.
“There are so many iPhone applications which are great, but also a big number of them could have used some more testing before being published for sale.
The problem developers face is that they have no way of communicating with quality beta testers (those that actually test and report bugs), and even worse, those developers whose applications did not pass through Apple’s approval find themselves stranded”, said Petar Smilajkov, founder and CEO of Peconi Group, LLC.iBetaTest.com online community plans to help those stranded developers and applications denied by Apple (like Podcaster), which are accused by Apple of mimicking the iPhone’s functionality, by giving those developers the ability to sell their applications to up to number of iPhones Apple allows provisioned for beta testing. This way, developers will be able to get at least some profit from people who want their applications even though they can’t sell them through the official channels.
iBetaTest.com will give developers direct access to quality testers (who are rated by developers so it’s well known who’s worth what), and give the beta testers what they need: an early access to the applications before they are launched. There’s even a potential for testers to make some profit in the process: developers can choose to sponsor beta testers by paying them for their participation, which should only encourage better and more involved participation of beta testers.
