WMWiFiRouter Updated to Version 1.2
Posted by: dgoldring on Sep 11 2008
Last week, I told you about WMWifiRouter, the fantastic little program that turns your Windows Mobile phone into a walking Wi-fi hotspot. Well, no sooner had I posted that review, than I learned today that WMWifiRouter released a new update, making the program even better and more stable than ever.
There are a whole host of upgrades and new features, so users of the previous version will definitely want to check this one out. Chief among the new features is a battery monitor. One of my chief complaints about the previous version was that it drained your battery faster than a school of piranhas could skin a cow. This power saving feature will automatically shut down the program if your battery drops too low.
Hit the jump for a complete list of features from WMWifiRouter’s website.
- Share your cellular data/internet connection over wifi
- Connect any wifi-enabled device with ad-hoc mode support
- Supports multiple devices at the same time
- Easy to use: for most users, getting up and running is a matter of a single click
- Power saving: works even when the device is suspended!
- IP, wifi and cellular configuration built-in
- 64- and 128-bit WEP encryption support
- Automatic reconnect on connection loss
- Compatible with almost all recent Windows Mobile devices
- Distinction between basic and advanced users
- Keep-alive support to prevent automatic disconnects for specific carriers

All that and the program is still only $29.99. Check it out now at www.wmwifirouter.com
