Digital Audio Versus Vynil, best of both worlds!

eplur2 This may seem like an off topic post, I mean what do your old LP’s have to do with mobility? With all of the Media player news this week, this really becomes relevant, and it’s a great device if you’re an audiophile of the vynil persuasion, no S&M inferences intended, you’d love a way to transfer your vynil to digital with all of the pops and clicks.
I only own a couple of original LP’s, two Max Roach albums, and a limited edition Grand Funk Railroad album.

Now the debate over which is best, the original LP or the same music, digitally re-mastered, is a sore point. what if you could take directly from an LP player to a digital source. I’ve never been quite cognisant of the differences, but I’ve always been scared of scratching a record. To the extent that I wouldn’t play them. The cassette tape saved me from a lot of the angst of handling vynil.

So this is probably a specialist device, a turntable that will record directly to SD, very different. We all have devices that accept a memory extension via card( except for the iPeople) so this is an acceptable way to get your LP’s onto your device.

Now the

ION’s LP 2 FLASH will take your old records to the digital age, with out too much drama.

I don’t have lot’s of info on the quality, or transfer rates, but I hope this is a way for a lot of you to archive your originals, and get the same listening pleasure from  your records. It’s all a bit ancient though!
