Kevin Rose posted a picture of what might be the new iPod Nano, then Brandon shared a link with me, that indicated there was a company out there making cases to fit an iPod that resembles this form factor. Anyone recall the furor around the “fattie” the iPod ugly duckling? It turned out to be a swan didn’t it? 

This post a BGR hints at the fact that apple have something coming, and it may be a Nano device with a screen that makes video watching more accessible.

 
The invite confirms previous rumors of an event taking place on September 9, and the design of the e-mail indicates that it does, in fact, have to do with iPods. There is currently nothing indicating that this will be a combined iPod-Mac event (which falls in line with recent buzz), but it’s widely expected that Apple will introduce a new iPod nano design along with possible iPod touch price drops.
