Civ IV for Blackberry and WM

PC gamers that play Civilization know not to do so if they have anything important to do in the next month. The game is like a black hole. It sucks you in one second and then spits you out the other side of next month…turning all your productivity time into build times for samurai, riflemen, and tanks. You build up your own civilization through culture, territory, and military might and crush or love your enemies to death. It’s addicting.
That’s why I’m afraid to write this post and tell you all that a version of Civ IV has come to your WM and BB smartphones. I know, I know. You thought you’d be safe by stepping out of the house, didn’t ya? But now Sid Meier can and will follow you everywhere you go.
Watch out, though, Concrete Software’s port of the game definitely had to cut a few corners to make the experience palatable on a mobile platform. Their website states there will be only four civilizations to play with, and the screenshots show a side-scrolling interface instead of the traditional isometric view.
Whatever the case, fans of the Civ series or the strategy genre might wanna give this one a shot!
(sorry, no link on the WM Civ IV yet – just the Blackberry for $14.99)
