SBSH Releases Papyrus 2.0
I had a Windows Mobile Standard (non-touch screen) device for all of a week. It drove me nuts because the touch screen was so unresponsive…yeah…exactly. Even though I could not get used to the device itself, I was able to enjoy some fantastic software which really took advantage of the platform’s features. Chief among them was the fantastic Personal Information Manager (PIM), Papyrus, from SBSH. Today, SBSH announced the first major update to this program, and I have to admit that Papyrus 2.0 has me almost wishing for that Motorola Q back…almost. So what is new and special in this version?
The all new Papyrus 2.0 features:
- Search view
- Automatically email attendees when changing or creating an appointment
- Pop out effects
- Active timeline display
- All new category icons
- Fully updated user interface
- And too much more to list here
So, you non-touch screen/Windows Mobile Standard users are going to want to check this one out. You can download the 14-day trial, from the SBSH website or the newly redesigned JAMM store
Papyrus 2.0 costs $24.99, however, owners of any previous version of Papyrus can upgrade for only $7.95. If you purchased Papyrus in the last couple of months (since May 2008) then you are eligible for a free upgrade.
For more information, check out the full press release or the SBSH forum post.
