The HTC on again, off again… Dream
You know in the past couple of weeks the attack of the androids, which should probably be made into a “C” grade Sci – Fi movie, has sprouted new thrusters and is rocketing off into the stratosphere. Videos like the following, should definitely be incorporated in the story – boarding for the plot, cause you can’t capture unwieldy, blurred, totally meaningless information with fictional film creation, like this, right?
Far be it for me to rail against, rumours, but the Android OS, Google phone is something that caught my attention when it was first alluded to. The reports are confusing at the moment though, I wrote last week “Android … It may not be sci – fi”, but so much more information has come to light since then, I wouldn’t know what to believe!
There is a HTC Dream website where the device is apparently available for pre – order,
It’s hard to say whether it’s reputable or not, if any one has an idea post it in the comments, but I’m having a hard time realising the dream. JKOTR had this to say,
The video is terrible quality but from what we can see it’s nothing special. The interface is Windows-like with touch capability and it’s not too snappy. The auto-rotation is nice but I consider that a must these days on any device. I hope this is not the Dream as it’s really big and clunky looking.
After many denies and confirmation, we probably have to wait and see if the first Android power phone from HTC will even show up in 2008 or first half of 2009.
TMoNews spreads the news that T-Mobile will launch in Q4, 2008 the HTC Dream powered by Google Open source Android.
In a big way I’m over this wait!, I might get a N96!
