Last year, a friend of mine was on a trip to the Phillipines for work, and on the return flight, a CD was playing an alternative version of “Somewhere Over The Rainbow”. He fell in love with the song, and enquired about the artist. Her name is Aselin Debison, and the CD was Sweet Is The Melody.

Aselin hails from Cape Breton, Canada and was just 13 when she recorded this album. Her style is pop/folk and has a unique but fantastic set of pipes.

The song that I would like to share with you is To Say Goodbye To You.  When my mum passed away in the UK in February, I played this song at the service I had for her here in the US. When I listen to the song now, it reminds me that mum is still there, waving on a hill from afar.
