HTC simplifies ROM upgrades
First off — forgive the formatting if it’s a bit awry here. Trying Flock out for blogging. First time.
Anyway — news! If you’ve got an HTC device and have had trouble figuring out just how the heck you’re supposed to upgrade, this new streamlined website should help. HTC has sections for the US and Europe. I was feeling very left out for a moment and was about to get rather bitter in this post when I realized that the US section actually covers all of North America. I see the HTC Touch offered on Rogers has no ROM upgrades (bah, typical) but the one from Bell has two. Windows Mobile upgrades have always been a mess with Microsoft, the device manufacturer, and the carriers all kinda passing the buck in a ring-around-the-customer kind of torture dance, so it’s great to see HTC stepping up to the plate and nailing a solid solution down.

Thanks Ragart – this is useful. I have been liaising with HTC over my TyTn recently and it has been rather painful.
