Android… May not be sci-fi!

Well we know the Android operating system is not science fiction, since we’ve seen it ported to many devices since the release of the SDK. Of course there are plenty of enterprising developers out there who’ll cook anything to run on any device. When though, will we get the real deal, Android specific handset?

Well it looks like HTC are on track to deliver in the fourth quarter of this year. In a post over at Digitimes, the CFO of HTC, Hui-ming Cheng, spilled some beans, even mentioning the Experia from Sony.

The Experia has been one of the most anticipated phones of this year, and looks like it’s online in the third quarter of 2008. Since the release of the Diamond and the Touch pro, everyone’s looking for WinMo devices to take on the fruit vendor’s offering, but the inclusion of a new OS on a high end HTC device should also add some excitement to the mix, don’t you think?
