Free Music for Your Zune
Posted by: Heather on Jul 25 2008Starting about a month ago, Microsoft has been sending out weekly e-mails to its Zune newsletter subscribers announcing “Three Free Weekly.” Basically, they select three songs from the Zune Marketplace, and make them available to everyone who has the Zune software installed. If you don’t have the Zune software, it is free to download. The songs will only play on a Zune due to DRM restrictions, unless of course you know a way around that (wink). They have had a good variety of artists, from new artists to established performers like Whitney Houston.
The three free for this week are: In Love With A Girl by Gavin DeGraw, Falling In Love At A Coffee Shop by Landon Pigg, and Music For Love by Mario.
Don’t worry about missing the other weeks; all of the songs since the kick-off of “Three Free Weekly” are still available for free at the Zune Marketplace. To find them, go to Playlists, then select mixtapes, and the list is called “Three Free Weekly.” Make sure to grab them soon, because there is no telling when the songs will go back to regular price.
