The RazorBook400 – Windows CE Laptop

Talking about UMPCs, yet another contender has entered the fray. This time it’s 3k’s new Razorbook400. But for $300 is this device able to do the things that a Windows XP notebook can do? Sporting a MIPS processor that runs at only 400Mhz with Windows CE, the upcoming Razorbook doesn’t sound too sharp (in my opinion from first glance) considering the rest of the specs are very similar to Asus’ Eee PC as it also has a 4Gb solid state drive and 512Mb of RAM. Software-wise, Windows CE does have software – but the number of software titles for the standard Windows platform will most certainly decimate anything that Windows CE has to offer. We’ll see if this takes off….
