Well, the reports are coming in from all over town (ok, so I just read it on a website and followed the link to the source). It seems that a WM 6.1 update for Sprint’s version of the HTC Mogul is in the works. The cool part? It’s kinda out now, but on unofficial channels. This is a good thing for two reasons: 1) it’s out now (yes!) and 2) Sprint will likely release it officially soon. Hold on, Doug! Threaded SMS is coming!!!

As always, upgrade at your own peril. Unofficial channels means no guarantee of a working firmware, and you can brick (aka turn $300+ phone into door stopper) your device if something messes up. Upgrade with care, or wait for Sprint!
