Quick Review: Beyza Cases’ “Thinvelop” For MacBook Air
I’ve always been partial to high quality, leather device cases. They not only protect delicate electronics well, but they protect them beautifully, too. So when Beyza Cases announced their "Thinvelope" Leather Case for the MacBook Air it caught my eye.

I’ve been carrying my MacBook Air with me pretty much everywhere since I first got it a few months ago and the Thinvelope looked like an awfully nice way to carry the super-light MacBook in a super-spiffy way.

Then a month later “gadget goddess” Judie Lipsett over at Gear Diary reviewed it. It was a funny turn of events that led to it, since Judie actually had the Thinvelope BEFORE she had the MacBook Air. But there she was with the MBA and Thinvelope in hand. Did Judie like it? Well, her review of the Beyza case ended with–
What Needs Improvement: Nothing
High praise from my friend who knows gadgets and gadget accessories better than just about anyone else.
Well, thanks to Judie, I’ve had the chance to see and use one of the cases first hand and all I can say is- WOW! It is one beautiful leather case!
After using the case for a few weeks I cannot help but agree with Judie’s thorough and excellent review. It is as perfect as a case can be.

A few personal observations.
First, both the quality of Beyza’s leather and workmanship are second to none. The leather is perfect. The stitching is perfect. The fit and finish are, in a word, perfect. It is absolutely gorgeous.
Second, the Air is held tightly inside the case, cradled in exceptionally soft suede. It is nice to know that the Air is not only protected from outside bumps but from inside scratching, as well.
Third, while the case leaves no room for any additional cables, power cords or accessories, that is clearly the idea. Five months after getting the Air I am still struck by its sleek lines every time I take it out. The Thinvelope is designed to be as sleek as the Air is. It succeeds.

Steve Jobs pulling the MacBook Air from a manila envelope will likely be remembered as one of the most powerful moments ever in the history of electronics marketing. In the months since, however, it has been played and replayed to the point that the MacBook Air/Envelope combination has the potential to become a parody of itself. That is certainly the case with some of the envelope-style cases that have since been released.
Not so Beyza’s Thinvelope.
The Thinvelope says- “That manila envelope was about marketing. Our envelope is about protecting the MacBook Air in style.”
And that is exactly what it does.
The Beyza Thinvelop for MacBook Air is available directly from Beyza Cases for $215.00
