Sorta kinda control Mac/PC remotely via iPhone
Posted by: Ragart on Jun 18 2008
Ever been really, really desperate to remote access your computer while on the move? If you’re not subscribing to something like Sugarsync to access your files, jkOnTheRun has discovered a way to help you out…well, kinda. Using LogMeIn (a paid or free account — although the free account might not do this for much longer) on your iPhone’s Safari browser can actually grant you semi-usable remote access. Tap something on Safari and it will happen on your computer, but waiting for the response on your iPhone is something else entirely. If controlling your computer at less than 1 FPS is something you think you’re patient enough to do (an d that you have the time for!), just remember to turn on HTML as opposed to ActiveX inside of your LogMeIn prefs.
