Shhh! … Don’t tell Doug I’m posting this. Technically I’m supposed to be coding my butt off on this new theme thing we’re working on for the grand "re-opening" of JAMM – but sometimes you just have to take a second and put up a post about something really cool. And this is one of those times.

While I was quickly checking my RSS feeds (the first dammed post I saw!) was this one over at Gear Diary. AOL is announcing they are going to be giving away (yes free) on the app store an iPhone version of AOL Radio!

AOL Radio powered by CBS Radio will be available for FREE for all iPhone users next month as part of the forthcoming iPhone App Store. You’ll be able to listen to all 200+ AOL Radio stations and 150+ CBS Radio stations on the go!

AOL Radio for iPhone will work on both the original iPhone and the upcoming iPhone 3G and can be streamed over WiFi or the 3G network. One cool feature includes having your iPhone determine your whereabouts and figuring the closest CBS Radio stations near your area.

We unveiled this application at the Worldwide Developer Conference in San Francisco this week and won the award for "Best Entertainment Application".
