Spb Release Spb Backup 2.0: Saving You From Certain Peril

I am sure this has happened to you. It is late at night. You start to turn on your Windows Mobile device, and…something happens. Or doesn’t happen to be more precise. You tinker for a little while, knowing that your efforts will be fruitless. You close your eyes, take a deep breath and brace for the inevitable: A HARD RESET. And before you know it, the next six hours have been consumed with reloading software, recreating your settings, and resyncing your PIM data (assuming it was all saved on your computer). There must be an easier way.
Well, Spb Software House sure seems to think so, with their latest release: Spb Backup 2.0
Most of you are probably familiar with Spb Backup, which has long been considered one of the most powerful backup utilities for Windows Mobile devices. Now, according to the press release, version 2 is, "smarter, twice as fast, and makes moving data between Windows Mobile phones as easy as unpacking an archive."
Spb Backup 2.0 features:
- Device and ROM upgrade modes
- Spb Backup Sync
- Spb Backup Unpack tool
- Smartphone version
- File Black-list or "Ignored Files"
- Copies the entire device: settings, SMS, Emails, tasks, software, shortcuts, preferences
- Storage card backup
- Customizable file restoration
- Scheduled backups
- Self-extracting executable backup files
- Full and custom backups
- Backup file compression and encryption
Spb Backup is compatible with Windows Mobile 2003 and 5.0 for Pocket PC , Windows Mobile 6 and 6.1 Professional and Standard devices, as well as Windows 2000/2003/XP/Vista on desktop. VGA, Square QVGA, and QVGA screen resolutions are supported. A free, 5-run trial can be downloaded, or Spb Backup 2.0 may be purchased for $24.95. You can also upgraded from older Spb Backup versions for just $9.95. That upgrade is free for users who purchased the previous versions within the last 90 days. Check out Spb Backup at the Spb Backup for Pocket PC web page, Spb Backup for Smartphone web page, or the JAMM store.
