PhatNotes: Now Optimized for Windows Vista
Today, Phatware announced a new update to its popular notes organizing program, Phatnotes. With version 5.3, Phatnotes is now optimized to work with Windows Vista Service Pack 1, and also offers an improved autobackup feature, new Windows task bar menu, and two new UI themes.
The new taskbar menu provides quick access to the PhatNotes application and all opened notes. It also allows users to hide PhatNotes popup windows when minimized, create new notes, and change other application settings. New Application options will also allow users to toggle PhatNotes taskbar icons and change the basic application behavior. The desktop portion of Phatnotes also features two new UI themes and an improved autobackup feature which allows users to create multiple backup files. That module is now independent from the manual backup wizard.
In addition to supporting Microsoft Windows Vista Service Pack 1, the new version of PhatNotes will also support all of the latest mobile devices powered by Windows Mobile 6.1.
The best news for users, however, is that according to Stanislov Miasnikov, president of Phatware Corp:
All improvements made in the new version of PhatNotes are based on the feedback that we’ve received from PhatNotes users. We hope that all PhatNotes users, especially these who requested some of the new features, will be pleased with the new version.
I just love it when developers listen to the feedback their users have to offer.
PhatNotes 5.3 is available now for $39.95. For new users, you can test drive it with a 30 day trial. If you are still unsure, check out my review of the previous version of Phatnotes, and Lauren’s review of Phatnotes 5.
PhatNotes 5.3 is a free upgrade for all registered uses of PhatNotes 5.X. Through the end of June 2008, all registered users of previous versions of PhatNotes can purchase the latest version for a discounted upgrade price of only $19.95.
