BlackBerries, Apples and Some Samsung New Fruit!
In the shadow of WWDC, it’s hard to hear anything else other than the rumour mongering concerning the Apple event, but there are iPhone competitors emerging. Welcome the BB Thunder,

BoyGeniusReport got the lowdown today, on the new touchscreen BlackBerry, dubbed “Thunder”. Whilst it looks like a fruity clone, there are obviously a lot of external controls, but there’s a USB port. No funky connectors here [at last]. The fact that this is a leak from the big V seems to be what gives it some credibility.
That’s all of the info about the Thunder though, a leaked image from verizon. although I’m not even going to try and discredit BGR’s sources. It’s just that the rumour mill rolls on, and it’s probably the best marketing tool any of the big players in the mobile industry can have.

So from SlashPhone today, via PhoneMag, we get a look at the Samsung i900, now known as the Omnia. Another really sweet touch screen mobile phone, with acceptable specifications

One thing there that I want to know is processor specifications, but what the hey.
There are plenty of new touch screen phone coming out, including S60 devices, so why are we all excited over the 3G iPhone.
A great post today that encapsulated how I was feeling about all of the unfounded/probably verified, I need to write something to keep up with the Apple/Compote, came from CNet, and it was titled “Rumour: More iPhone Rumours to surface between now and later?
I guess the thinking is if you toss enough possibilities in the air, at least one of them will come down right.
For example this Sunday morning, the Internet suggests that Apple’s new iPhone might be cheaper. That it might be thinner. That it might have video chat. That it might have GPS. That it might come with a four-core chip. That it might be late. That it might be here already.
So while we wait the last baited breath minutes, Here’s Steve in another incarnation
