OT – The Vagaries of Life?

With Patrick’s news and all of the change going on behind the scenes, I’ve been a little out of sorts. So looking to go connect up with some light hearted friends, I turn to one of my favourite sites, Axim/Mobility Site, and the sites been down all weekend. Not being able to get any news, even the RSS feed has been down, I might say I’ve been having a few withdrawal symptoms. As probably quite a few of the team, and readers here are. It’s horrible to be in the dark about things like this, but who would have the time to keep news coming if your site had literally burnt down.

leftbanner So at this point what news is there, Doug Smith on his personal Blog gave an update today of what’s going on.

Just wanted to let everyone know that are looking on my personal blog for information on TiltSite that there was an explosion and fire at the at ThePlanet which hosts TiltSite, MobilitySite, and Aximsite. As a matter of fact, it hosts 9000 different websites. Chris Leckness has posted this:

The server is back online, but according to support, it is going to take hours for dns to resolve throughout the net again.

I was able to hit my site and make a post explaining the outage from home this morning before I left for work. When I got to work, I couldn’t get to the site. I was able to ssh in and my server load is only at like .15 which is LOW LOW.

Anyhow, it looks like we’re getting there though.

Hopefully it will be back up and running soon…

Thanks for spreading the word. This outage really sucks and I know Chris Leckness is pulling his hair out as am I. Please pass along to Patrick my Thoughts and Prayers. Doug Smith

Mobilitysite looks like it’s back up, Peter, so you can stop over when you get a chance and say “hi”.
