Rock God Wannabe…! This is for you

Now that the iPod is entrenched as a generic term for the Personal Media Player, we are seeing a proliferation of accessories for the said device, devices. Accessories as ridiculous as this, I mean marketing researchers will target as many consumer niches as they can right.

iPodguitarAmp
So I found this today over at UneasySilence and although it appeals to my Rock N Roll wannabe fantasies, I can’t see myself playing air guitar, flailing an iPod around.

It is easily one of the best looking Mp3 speakers we’ve had yet and it’s one of those products that appeals to a lot of people, regardless of their taste in music. The detail is amazingly close to larger amps and it features working treble and bass dials (an element lacking in a lot of mp3 speakers currently on the market). The front grill, corner protectors, and leather-esk finish make it extremely tactile.
The Mp3 Amp can be used with any Mp3 player (with a standard earphone socket) or as a computer speaker. It comes with a USB lead to be powered directly from your computer or by 3 x AAA batteries.

Anyone out there got enough fingers to count how many different iPods there actually are now? There’s quite a few right. Have you ever thought about what it is that makes the iPod such a successful device.

The fact that the iPod is a cross platform device, hasn’t done it any harm.

Ok so I have to admit I have an iPod, well actually I have three iPods, oops that’s really a big admission for a WinMo guy, I am not quite sure which step I just completed, but the iPod is addictive.

iPod has become the forerunner in the MP3 market, but what else can you do with it? I’m not talking about music or video, I’m talking about a USB data device that is rather large. The fact is that I have a first Gen 20 Gig iPod that is an important mobile hard drive for me. That’s what it’s become, over time, an invaluable device for moving Data from place to place.

I have to agree with an article I read today at CNet,

Can anything Beat the iPod

It seems that you can’t do MP3 player because of the standard that Apple have set, now an MP3 player that has evolved into a communication device is really impressive, but how many people want that kind if convergence?

Lots.

It’s hard to beat the iPod!
