Palm Centro for Australia…

logopalm You know the time lag on devices is huge and varied, depending on where you’re from, did I say I’m in Australia. Well al little press release, deigning to grace us with a new device came in from Palm today.

I don’t know if this is the greatest thing, the Centro will be locked to the Telstra network which is the largest, owns most of the infrastructure that all of the other telco’s use, used to be a government concern, is screwing rural users for 3g at the moment after cutting off CDMA services, and costs more than any of the other services that are around at the moment.

It’s great that we are getting the Centro, but it’s already been shown up by Samsung and windows mobile

SYDNEY, Australia, May 20, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) — After recently announcing the sale of its one-millionth Palm(R) Centro(TM), Palm, Inc. (Nasdaq:PALM) today confirmed its popular Palm(R) Centro(TM) smartphone will be available to Telstra Pre-Paid customers in Australia beginning May 26.

I know it’s a great device and Lauren’s review confirms that.

If I want more info on the Centro and I’m in Australia, the press release directs me to this site
