Link Love: OmegaOne 1-ToGo Review on MTS

image Sir Doug of the Gold Ring has published his latest killer review (image taken from his review). The subject is OmegaOne’s venture into the field of online apps on Windows Mobile. I’ve been using a couple of iPhone apps in Safari, but I have to say I never really used them on WM. The first thing that pops to my mind is: why would I? Windows Mobile has a great advantage in the software area because its SDK isn’t locked down like the iPhone’s is until June.

Doug’s review shows that the program makes it easier to access all of your information on one screen. You can glance at different inboxes, weather forecasts, and RSS feeds without leaving the browser (or using multiple tabs). So the service looks like it’s really about the interface and convenience, which could pay off if they keep streamlining it. I still have to wonder though: don’t WM users already have that kind of power through the today screen?

    Thanks for the link, Ragart.

To answer your question, some of this is available right on your today screen, but not all of it. There rae few RSS readers which allow you to easily access feeds and news articles directly from your today screen like this. Plus, you can access email, social networking and a host of other things. I was disappointed that it was a service.
