Jott On The BlackBerry- Let The Revolution Begin

There are three kinds of people-
Those who know about Jott and use it all the time and couldn’t live without it.
Those who know about Jott but currently underutilize this amazing service.
Those who need to wake up and get to know Jott.

I do not know of a service that has received a more universally positive response than Jott.

I love Jott and have become a Jott-evangalist– speaking and writing about it every chance I get. More importantly, I use Jott ALL THE TIME for everything from creating reminders to putting down various thoughts that occur to me while driving. Heck, I even “wrote” the first pass of this using Jott.

Now, Jott is taking things to an entirely new level and, if it works as well as everything else Jott has done, it is nothing short of revolutionary.

Jott has released a commercial version of their voice recognition software that is downloaded to certain Blckberry models, including the 8800, 8300, and 8100, and allows users to reply to all emails (not just send emails to those people in your Jott contacts) using Jott.

The folks at Jott describe it this way—

We have a lot of happy Blackberry customers at Jott, and Jott for BlackBerry is the ultimate BlackBerry download. It is a simple, but very powerful tool that will let you reply to emails on your BlackBerry just using your voice - either speaking directly into your BlackBerry, or while wearing a Bluetooth headset. It is seamlessly integrated into the email application you already use, and is a huge leap forward for BlackBerry lovers in three ways: first, it is 3-5 times faster than ‘thumbing’ text; two, you won’t be known for sending just terse replies because you don’t want to thumb type out a normal email message; and three, you will be safer because you won’t have to take your eyes off the road.

Blackberry users can now forget about thumbing a reply and instead reply to emails using their voice. It even works with a Bluetooth headset.

Jott For Blackberry is currently a free beta but it will be a fee-based service at some point in the near future.

I’m not a Blackberry user but you can bet I’ll be in line for it when it comes to the iPhone.

You can read more over at Jott.
