Now That’s NOT Mobile Technology – Part 1

Huge cellphone

"Mr Tan, of Songyuan city, says his 3ft high phone, which weighs 48lbs, is an exact copy of his own phone – but 620 times bigger."

This baby is a fully functional cellphone apparently.  It can make and receive calls, send and receive text messages, and browse the web. Not hugely mobile though – even if you’re OK with lugging the monster around, it requires an AC outlet to work, as the phone’s creator hasn’t managed to build a big enough battery for it yet.

Mr. Tan is hoping to get this one recognized as the world’s largest working phone.  Anyone going to argue with that?
