Hey – A Windows Mobile Ad!
Here’s something you don’t see very often – a TV / Video advert for Windows Mobile. Mashable got hold of this one which they say ‘will be running’ (not sure when or where), that highlights using Live Search Mobile while you’re on the go.
One of the things the ad highlighs is how Live Search Mobile lets you not just find, but act on information specific to your current location. It uses the ‘finding where to eat dinner’ scenario, and shows getting turn-by-turn directions, texting the address to a friend, and calling the restaurant to ‘get the best table in the house’.
I think the ad is OK, not great though. Live Search is a very nice app, but I reckon they should have chosen something other than finding a restaurant for the ad – as this has been done, with less words, and probably a little more stylishly in the iPhone ‘Calimari’ ad not that long ago. Surely there should be some other examples that could show off Live Search and what you can do with it just as well, or better.
Anyway, good to see an ad of any kind for Windows Mobile. Click the pic at the top of the page to give the video a look. What do you all think of it? Has anyone seen this on TV or anywhere yet?

Oh Yeah, I’m excited. That is the most lack lustre add I’ve ever seen. I’d rather carry a phone book!
