Jabra gets it right – Announces BT headset with smart display

Hot on the heals of Microsoft "getting it right" with a hopefully much improved version of PIE, here comes some news that Jabra is actually paying attention to my inner thoughts and has announced a new headset that includes a smart display and finally rids us of the stupid blinking lights that seem to rule all BT headsets.

The BT4010 is unique in that sense that it sports the center-positioned "smart display" which conveniently shows battery level, connection and call status — while eliminating annoying flashing lights at the same time. According to Jabra, this feature makes their new headset "ideal for people who are constantly looking to eliminate the need to scroll through endless menus."

Expect the Jabra BT4010 to hit the market fairly shortly (Spring 2008) for the low price of $59 and change with a battery life expectancy of around 6 hours. Also expect me to want one … because I never have a clue how much battery life my headset has left.
