For St Patrick day, I’d read more about the history of this day, so when it comes around next year I know what it’s all about…unlike now when I’m clueless.

For St. Patrick’s Day, I’ll be spending it at work during the day, and then at home with my family afterwards. We always like to get the kids (4 & 6 yrs old) some little gifts for all the minor holidays as well, which makes them all the more fun for the family. My church also has a special Healing & Breakthrough service the 3rd Monday of every month, so I’ll be playing keyboard for that service Monday night as well. I know this might all sound pretty boring to some people who love the idea of green beer… but I’m looking forward to it just the same.

P.S. I will definately have to eat some Irish Potatoes sometime that day too… love those Irish Potatoes!!!

We don’t really celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in this part of the world, so I don’t have an idea of its significance, sad to say.

I usually go to one of the local Irish pubs, get some traditional Irish finger-food and then drink as many guiness as possible. At some point the pub owner usually hands out weird green hats and other props which we use to dress up and look foolish in.

WebIs has exceptional products. I purchased PocketInformant last year and love it. I use it every day.

As for St Patrick’s Day, I will be competing in the 2008 Shamrock Run - a 15k (9.3 mile) foot race in Portland, Oregon.

Then I’m going to rest for a while…..

    :-)

WebIS does have great products. PI8 for the smartphone has been tempting me since it came out.

I’ll be the designated sober one making fun of all of my friends drinking the green beer.

  7. Mar 15, 2008 - 03:03:25

PI8 is very useful. I´ve always wanted to have it. Outlook is so poor…
Well, St. Patrick Day in Brazil as far as I know only exist in International School (ISC), the first time I heard about it was when working at there… Well I don´t work there anymore so I´m going to to regular stuff in St. Patrick day…

My St. Patties plans are pretty dull. Home watching my little boy while my wife takes the other little one bowling at a bday party.

Green Beer, Green Beer!! And as I’m a Scotsman, bitchin’ a bit about how St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated by a lot more people than Robbie Burn’s Day.

I’ll be sitting around in my green underwear hoping the luck of the Irish strikes me. I’ve got a really old copy of eWallet and have the files so corrupted i can’t sync it anymore. I really need an updated version so i can start over.

    I want Pocket Informant 8.

If I can find a willing “little person”, I’m going to bring her to work with me dressed as a leprechaun and ask her dance on my desk singing Irish folk songs all day.

I watched the St. Patty’s Day Parade and will enjoy a black and tan at the pub later.

Gimme PI8 first or eWallet as a second choice….

    Count me in!

St. Paddy’s day wouldn’t be the same without a few Jameson’s with my one and only Irish mate. Same plan every year for the last eight years. If it ain’t broke…

Incidentally, speaking of broken things, this is the third time I’ve tried to leave this comment using Firefox. I’ve switched the rendering engine to IE (using IETab) and fully expect this to work this time as I remember having similar problems in the past on JAMM.

  16. Mar 16, 2008 - 07:03:12

Yup: instant post! No longer FF friendly or is it personal?

I’d like to try FlexMail 2007.

I’m going to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day the same way I celebrate Cinco de Mayo and other quasi-holiday public inebriation celebrations: at home with friends, with an adult beverage and a hearty laugh!

I think the prize should go to Taapie - who is, just like me, from the Netherlands. Let’s try to have a winner from the Netherlands in every contest! :D

Just got back from a trip to Victoria BC. They are more British than Irish there, but there was some lively fun at the local Irish pub in town.
If the luck of the Irish is with me, I’d love to win FlexMail.

Sorry to say that St. Particks Day wound up being just another work day for me. And a very busy one at that! Here in Georgia, though, the big celebration is over on the coast in Savannah.

If I have the luck of the Irish, I would love to win the eWallet.
