So What’s LucidTouch!

dancThumb No it’s not an Apple Touch with advanced artificial intelligence, or a new coin operated, vibrating, massaging bed at your local motel. Dan posted, on his Samsung Q1U Premium, about the limitations of the thumb keyboard layout. What if the fingers, handling the back of the device, could join the input party as well?

A research concept, that’s starting to look like a viable option, with multi multi touch, and it’s Microsoft driven. Who would have thought!

All of us WinMo fanboys, that have been waiting for a true multi touch platform, dependant on third party developers, who in my opinion have delivered within the limitations of WinMo, should laud the research of innovators like this!

So what, am I really talking about? An idea, that really shows us a approach to UMPC’s and data input. Imagine having a transparent device, that can register input from, obviously the front touch screen, and the rear of the device. That does not essentially infer a touch screen on the rear of the device. I’ve been looking at this for a while, as a point of personal interest, and I think you might be ready for it.

This is out there and something most of us WM users can’t imagine, but enjoy waiting for someone to actually make this functional. Nice Idea though!
