Is the MBA a terrorist tool?

So the MacBookAir is an innovation in the world of laptop computers. I still don’t think of it as anything less than that, it’s definitely not a UMPC. It does though, not have a lot of the familiar features that a lot of laptop users look for when they see a laptop computer. So for the un-tech savvy, the MBA might look like some sort of covert mock up. Well it seems the Transportation Security Administration [TSA] is employing a bunch of people like that.

Apparently, the TSA employee manning the line was flabbergasted by the “lack of a drive” and the complete absence of “ports on the back,” and while hordes of co-workers swarmed to investigate, the user’s flight took off on schedule.

Well it’s understandable, if you were presented with something that looks like a child’s toy, and not a fully fledged computing solution, you might think it was a bomb too!

And that is the problem with the TSA. Someone seriously needs to sitdown with these folks (granted not all of them) and show them the difference between their a$$ and hole in the ground.

How hard is it to look at a computer and figure out that its a fricking computer?

You have to know how to turn it on! Will it explode if I press that switch?
