Contest: Shake The Shaky Shake With SBSH
As we mentioned earlier, SBSH is in a mood to shake things up. They shook up their website with an outstanding new look, which:
introduces many new advanced utilities that ensure ease of use and confident navigation experience, such as: Device-Based and Platform-Based navigation helping users to find applications designed for their mobile device easily, automated RSS news feeds for new application updates and announcements and much more!
Now, SBSH and JAMM wants to shake you up with the Shakin’ It With SBSH contest. So, grab a partner and get your shaking clothes on, because it is time to shake the shaky shake.
Winners of the first ever JAMM-SBSH shakin’ contest will win a spectacular SBSH cocktail shaker. There are only 50 of these shakers in the world, and JAMM has three of them to give away. Hit the jump to learn how to enter and win.
To enter, just leave a comment on this post. Yup, standard JAMM rules apply. Leave a comment, and you are automatically entered. But really, this contest is all about the new SBSH web site. So, check out the new site at www.sbsh.net, and tell us what you think. What features of the site do you like or dislike? But, let’s be honest here, this is a BIG contest, which really requires more chances to win. Want a third chance? Here we go. Tell us your favorite SBSH program and why you love it. It can be a Windows Mobile program, a Smartphone program, anything by SBSH. Just pick one and tell us why you love it. So, to recap. Three ways to win:
1) leave a comment
2) give us an opinion of the new SBSH website
3) Tell us your favorite SBSH program and why.
Three lucky winners will receive a beautiful limited edition (not sold in any stores) SBSH cocktail shaker.
Contest ends March 15, 2008 at 11:59 pm, EST.

Hehe they talked about a hardware giveaway, and this is a real surprise!
As a real SBSH fan I think I should have one of those.
What I like about the new site is something that’s not visible to the consumers eye. SBSH implemented a way to easily add programs to their site in a structured way, so that they don’t have to do all the designing for all product pages again for each new software title. This means that they have more time for actual software development!
As far as my favourite program is concerned, that’s a hard choice. iLauncher adds the most new and very useful functionality to my device so it’s very important for me, but I think that PhoneWeaver just adds cool things and continues to add very useful things in the future. Also, there are quite some fields that can still be explored with PhW and the feeling I’ve been getting is that the developer is also very interested in expanding the program with serious new features, and not just minor improvements. It’s not onely useful in that I don’t have to look at my device volume again, but it’s also very promising for the future.

I like the new website. It’s much slicker than the older one. (Although I must admit I spend more time on the forums rather than the regular site.
I think my favorite SBSH app is probably iLauncher. I have and use most of the SBSH and Spb software–a lot of switching from day to day to the one I’m in the mood to play with–but I have been so impressed with the huge evolution of iLauncher from the time that it was just a launcher, to the point that it’s a real alternative to the Granddaddy of all PPC apps: Pocket Plus, for a lot of users.
But then again, this question is a lot like asking me to choose which of my two kids I love the most. Not fair and not possible.

XDA, I actually considered asking commenters to choose which of their kids they liked best…but this question seemed more relevant.
But since you brought it up, which of your kids do you love best?

Actually, Doug, depending on which on is having a tantrum or being fresh, the “favorite” mantle goes back and forth. At this minute it’s a draw.

Ha! I can relate to that. Ever since my baby was born, my younger son has had a terrible case of middle child syndrome. Always fun to combine that with the Terrible Twos.
OK. Back on topic. Let’s start hearing some more SBSH love. Come on folks, I know SPM and XDA are not the only ones out there who love this stuff.

I never noticed til the site update that the former version looked so dated, but this update is typical of SBSH—always paying attention to detail. And this contest/ prize is typical as well—always full of surprises (thanx as well JAMM). My favorite, if i have to pick one, would be Pocket Breeze. It’s the base camp for designing and accessing everything mobile, it’s excellent at it, and it’s always always improving.

Thanks for the chance! Like the upgraded website they have at SBSH and I too think my favorite SBSH app is probably iLauncher. As for favorite kid, thank goodness I only have one! :O)

I’m a new reader. I bought myself a secondhand Axim x51v last month and found your site recently. Great site, and now a chance to win something!
I never visited SBSH before so I can’t comment on the new site vs the old one. I’ve just downloaded Clock from the site to try out and have registered for their newsletter.
I haven’t tried their software before, but iLauncher looks like something I would use.

Hi, Rekluz. Welcome to JAMM and to the world of Windows Mobile.
I used to use the Axim as well, and I can tell you that it is one of the best non-converged devices out there.
Hope you enjoy all of the news, views, and reviews you offer. And yeah, lots of free stuff too.

You guys give away a lot of stuff!
The website looks great. I did a search on Google and Yahoo for “windows mobile software”, “pocket pc software” and “pocket pc applications” and didn’t see the site listed in any of the first few pages of results. I think they could improve that. But I don’t know what thier strategy is with meta tags. However, I do like how you can choose your device and get a customized list of compatible programs. Having a forum on the site is also a nice feature. Overall, the website is fun, with very nice graphics, and has great usability and navigation.
I really like iLauncher out all the “launchers” I’ve tried. It functions very well with ease of use and set-up. The battery level indicator is pretty slick at the very top.

The new website looks very modern, with easy navigation and beautiful new icons. The website is user-friendly and professional, the same can be said about sbsh products and the sbsh team.
I am a true SBSH fan, I use ContactBreeze, PocketWeather, PocketBreeze, ILauncer, MyList on my Tytn II.
iLauncher is my favorite application, after SBSH added the ability to “Show Running Programs” it is the first application I install after hardware reset.
Second must have is PocketBreeze. Without PB, it becomes much harder to plan and organize my, PB favorite feature is the ability to “Sort tasks with appts. by reminder”. This makes PB unique compared to other calendar apps, such as PI. Also I want to add that I am beta testing phoneweaver which is another must have. It is so difficult to pick only one app.
I would be very proud owner of sbsh cup.

Count me in.
Regarding their website, I like how you can choose your device and see what programs are compatible.
MyList looks like it would be useful. I’m always making lists to keep track of what I need to do, who I need to contact, etc. PocketBreeze looks like it could handle this as well.
