Google2Go…Now You Can Easily Access All Of Your Favorite Google Applets Directly From Windows Mobile
I think it is no secret that I am not exactly an iPhone fanboy. I’ve used it. Found some things to like and a lot that did not exactly appeal to me. But that is not the point here. The point is that one thing I have always been envious of is the Google applet which is available for iPhone and not Windows Mobile. What is possibly up with that?
Well, now, the good folks over at The Tech Turf have come up with a solution for all of us suffering Google-loving, Windows Mobile users. Their new application, Google2Go, brings Google functionality directly to your Windows Mobile 6 Professional device. With this small app (which is not related to Google in any way), you can access:
- Google Web/Image Search
- Google Local Search
- Gmail
- Google Calendar
- Google Reader
- Google Docs
- Picasa
- Google News
- Google Notes
- Amazon
- eBay
- Weather.com
- Wikipedia
- Dictionary/Thesaurus
Now, we’re talking. Well, I am off to download this one. To get it on your own phone, just download it from The Tech Turf and run it from your device. And happy Googling.

It’s a great app. My only 2 problems with it right now is that it look really weird in potrait mode (the developer is working on it) and that my SIP does not pop up when I need it to on some occasions and there’s no way to do so.

I agree, Tariq. I was frustrated by using it in portrait mode as well. Hopefully they will get that straightened out quickly. Otherwise, it is a very handy little app.
