So whether you have the latest bit of kit, or a tried and trusty device, The care and coddling lavished on your investments in mobile technology, actually add up to a rather exorbitant price tag. Accessories, memory, cases,third party software and screen protectors, all entice us to add to our devices, and most of us really don’t utilise all of the features that these add ons offer. Dan posted about the "Otterbox Armour" series of cases, for the iPod, and we see images of the iPod under water, and buried in snow. What The!!!

Does Tech Lust/Fantasy, drive us to these extremes? Do we need all of the bits and pieces that go with our devices to increase their longevity, or can we take them through the fires of hell, and still use them?
