Here’s something from UMPC Portal Feed.

There’s a new Sheriff (browser) in town and he (possibly she or it) wants to show you a new and better way to browse. That’s how I ended up reading the Iris product page from Torch Mobile anyway. This one is another pure browser (read: no proxy server like Opera Mini) to join the likes of Netfront 3.5, Opera Mobile 9.5, and the flawless Pocket Internet  Explorer.

I’ve been trying out the tech preview for a little while, but I’d like to test it for 30 minutes or so before reporting more. One strange thing was a little bit of a scrolling lag when I tried to pan even the def ault homepage, and I do wish that Iris would adopt the sleek semi-transparent scrollbars of other well known solutions.
