Unlike my famous ( infamous) compatriot, it’s worth being informed if your going to chuck a hissy fit and use your mobile as a projectile weapon. Honestly, if you’re in the public eye, you want to be well equipped and if you are going to use your phone as a weapon, then you might want to have a look at the Sonim “indestructible” XP1 mobile phone.

This is the Mack truck of, no the Terminator of mobile phones, it’s bullet proof! Go to the link above and see the videos, they shoot it with a Glock. Now this is not the stuff of MythBusters, it’s real.

Sonim will be showing its Sonim XP1 “indestructible” phone at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. At the show, the company will challenge the attendees and particularly attending media to hurt the phone.

Now it’s not exactly a beautiful unit, but if it is as indestructible as they say it is, Russell would probably have been up for murder rather than assault!

I know it looks a little bit Lego, or maybe like something G.I.Joe would own, but if it will stop a bullet, it might be worth filling your pockets with these phones!
