Browser Wars!
With all of the browser news and events and rumours we’ve posted lately, why not add another, to stir the pot! Looks like the gloves are off as far as the Mobile Browser market is concerned, and as M$ aren’t offering one (6.1) iota of hope with IE, we’re all looking to Opera and the Fox for some miracle. Then the one that shall not be mentioned because we are all waiting for the autopsy, wades zombie like into the arena with more brain devouring revelations.
Netfront Mobile, there I said it, has announced that it will unveil it’s newest version at the MWC, offering;
- Speed Improvements
- Faster first draw speed
- Faster scrolling
- Faster zooming
- Faster rendering mode switching
- Swift Navi.
- Animated zoom
- PageMap
- Column Rendering
I haven’t used Netfront on my mobile, for ages, as Opera 8.65 definitely outstripped it by miles, but at the moment I’m seeing more browsers than I can pick from. Which third party browser do you think will win the war? You’ve got to hate the pre-release teasing though!
Oh yeah, sorry to get your hopes up, it’s not available till Monday, but there’s a download link on the page, that doesn’t work, that you can keep trying if you’re bored!

I don’t know who will win.
I’ll pick the browser that lets me play youtube – real youtube, not m.youtube – on my Tilt!
