Astraware Upgrades Two, And We BET You Will Like What You See!
It is no secret around these parts that I am a big fan of the new game packs which Astraware has released lately. While I am still waiting for the update to Astraware Board Games (come on Chinese Checkers!), Astraware did release updates for its other two gamepacks earlier today.
The first update comes for Astraware Solitaire. In what seems like an innocuous update, they have changed the way graphics are rendered in all of the solitaire games. Very exciting, I know. But wait, before you skip ahead, let me tell you the exciting part. The new graphics rendering allows Astraware to issue theme packs which can be added right into Astraware Solitaire. In fact, the new version already includes the first new theme pack. Just in time for Valentine’s Day! Users can also download the Halloween and Winter card backs as add-ons for the game. These card backs were released as a separate game last year.
The second update comes to Astraware Casino, in the form of two new games: the incomprehensibly addictive Video Derby, a mechanical horse racing game, and three-card poker, a game which I must admit I had never played before, but is based on the British game, Bang. Both are fantastic additions to an already great game. Owners of Astraware Casino will also note that the souvenir suitcase has also been updated to add new souvenirs for these games. Astraware has also added the repeat last bet button to Roulette, Craps, and Three Card Poker, which is a very welcome addition.
Both Astraware Solitaire and Astraware Casino are free upgrades for registered users, or $19,95 for new users. For more information, check out:
